Telstream MC-218 /хх20SC media converters are used to convert Ethernet 10/100/1000 Base-TX (twisted pair) and Gigabit Ethernet 1000Base-FX (fiber optic cable) interfaces. Duplex transmission is carried out over a single fiber, at wavelengths of 1310 and 1550nm for a distance of up to 20 km, which provides greater flexibility and lower cost, because only one optical fiber is used instead of two.
