The QS20177 tool set is designed for professional installation and removal of stretch (stretch-fit) auxiliary drive belts on cars without a tensioner. The tool allows you to safely tension and guide the belt on the pulleys by rotating the crankshaft. It is suitable for a wide range of Alfa Romeo, BMW, Citroën, Fiat, Ford, Peugeot, Renault, VW, Volvo, and other models. It eliminates damage and over-tensioning of the elastic multi-ribbed belt.

Elastic auxiliary belts appeared around 2004. They have elastic properties, so they are installed by stretching, not by releasing the tensioner. It is impossible to install such a belt manually—a special tool is required that guides the belt during the rotation of the pulleys. Incorrect installation leads to distortions, premature wear, or damage to the belt and pulleys.

The QS20177 set solves this problem. The craftsman selects the appropriate finger in length and diameter, fixes the tool on the crankshaft pulley, puts on the belt as far as possible by hand, and then rotates the crankshaft in the direction of operating rotation. After the belt is fitted, the tool is removed, and the shaft is rotated two more turns to check the fit.
