The thread repair kit M8×1.0 QS14187M is a professional kit for workshops that restore damaged threaded holes of standard size M8. This set includes everything you need: a drill bit for reaming a hole, a tap for cutting a new thread, an insert installation tool, a shank break-off tool and 20 stainless steel wire inserts.

Stripped M8×1.0 threads are a common problem in aluminum crankcases, cylinder heads, brackets and other critical components. Replacing the entire part can be expensive. The QS14187M completely solves this problem: the hole is reamed, a new thread is cut, into which a wire insert is screwed, restoring the original M8×1.0 size.
